Holiday Isle is a residential peninsula at the western end of Destin, Florida — a slender bridge of land with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Destin Harbor on the other. Unlike the busier corridors along Highway 98, the neighborhood feels deliberately private: gated drives, low-density homes, and streets that end at the water.
At the very tip of the peninsula sits Destin Pointe, a gated community where the Gulf meets the East Pass — the channel that connects Choctawhatchee Bay to the open Gulf. The result is a rare mix of calm, bay-side water and dramatic Gulf-front sunsets, all within a few minutes’ walk.
For travelers, Holiday Isle is best known for what it does not have: high-rise condos, heavy through-traffic, or crowded public beach access. It is a place where families rent homes, not hotel rooms, and where the beach is reached by foot rather than by car.
